Lascom CPG Solution is architected on Microsoft's Windows Server and utilizes the latest associated web architectures, such as ASP, ASP.NET, and IIS. By leveraging Microsoft technologies and adhering to their design principles and standards, the CPG Solution has proven to be a robust and highly scalable product.

The CPG Solution is architected as an n-tier application program that can be distributed on multiple computers across a distributed network. Its main components are:

• Application Server: contains all the functions and APIs for dealing with the requests from the Web server, using the database and file servers
• SQL Database Server: manages all data tables and can be run on the same or separate server from the Application server
• Web Server (with IE Web client): manages and routes requests formulated by the client to the Application Server. Once an operation has been completed, the Web server routes the Application Server response information back to the client machine
• File Vault Server: provides effective document management of electronic document files on a separate dedicated server.

A user connects to the system by means of a simple Internet connection either through Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 8.0 or higher) or directly through a Microsoft Office product via a separately licensed Office connector. Other than Internet Explorer or the Office Connector, the client machine does not require any additional software to be installed. In some cases Active X and/or Applets components might be required however they are downloaded and installed automatically while connected to the system.

The architecture can also fully support high availability and disaster recovery functionality by incorporating Microsoft load balancing and scale-out features.
