Support for U.S. Standard ISA S88

In the food industry, it is no longer enough to simply improve production quality. Fast reaction to customer need and market demand has become a key factor in survival.
To speed reaction time while maintaining a high level of quality and conformity, systems must be in place that facilitate swift passage from product design to production. Tools such as Advitium make it possible to answer this challenge. Advitium supports US standard ISA S88, which describes a recipe model that reflects the reality of the design to manufacturing process.
Specifically designed for the food industry, Advitium Food Solution manages product information and processes and fully complies with the framework described in Standard ISA S88. The Advitium data model reflects the same structure.

In the ISA S88 model, the General Recipe is defined in the first stage of product development, after initial tests are complete. This is the 'gold recipe' of the product as seen by R&D.
The Site Recipe takes into account the characteristics of the specific site where the product will be manufactured. Examples of differences between sites include language, measuring units and availability of materials. This recipe is in the nomenclature of production and is called "local product specification" in Advitium Food Solution.
The Master Recipe provides the finest level of definition. This recipe is specific to the process cell or workshop producing the product within the site. In Advitium, this is called 'Plant Recipe.
For each batch of production a copy of the Master Recipe is used. This Control Recipe is managed in Advitium Food Solution as 'Batch Recipe. Each batch can thus be analyzed independently.
